Nobody really loves to clean their house. Well, there are some people that really do love it. But for most of us, it’s a means to and end. When you love having a clean and tidy home, you just get to work on the vacuuming and wiping, ironing, and more, just to keep everything in order. But when it comes to doing that big deep clean, it can be something that we all dread. You know that it’s going to take you an entire day and it’s going to drain your energy. But when you’re looking to update your decor, you often know that you’re going to need to do this first. The positive is, that when you’re all done, you’ll always feel amazing for it. It’s often getting started that’s the hardest part. So let’s sort that part out for you.

  1. Tidying & Organizing

When you’re feeling overwhelmed and you’re not really sure where you should even start, take a step back and begin to tidy. When you think about it from a logical perspective, you can really have a good clean if there’s stuff everywhere. So the first part of the process is always going to be to have a good tidying session. When you want to keep a clean and organized home, this is something that you should do regularly anyway. But it’s a great starting point before you clean.

  1. Carpet Cleaning

Now that you’ve got the place a little more organised and together, you’ll want to get started with your carpets. Whether you know it or not, your carpets will get incredibly dirty and fast! So a big part of the deep clean is always to give them a good clean. And you have two options for this. You could start by hiring carpet cleaners to do the job for you. But it’s its something that you want to do regularly, you could invest in a carpet cleaning machine yourself.

  1. Drain Cleaning

Next, you need to think about giving you drains a good clean. And no, this doesn’t always sound like the most appealing job. But you won’t always want to get blocked drains before you decide to take care of this. Instead, you’ll want to stay on top of your drain cleaning yourself or with a professional service to make sure they don’t cause you problems.

  1. Pantry Sprucing

Every good deep clean will include the pantry. Because this is a space in the kitchen that can get really cluttered. So you’ll want to make sure that you go through and have a good clear through regularly to throw out old things, and know that you need to use up for the next month or so.

  1. Basement  & Duct Clearing

Finally, it’s also great to have a basement cleanout once a year or so. Because this is a space that tends to get junk piling up in it. Don’t forget your Air Duct Cleaning too.
