Baby loves: Swoon Up from Babymoov

We’ve been using the Swoon Up since Arlo was 4 weeks old, although it can be used from birth. He’s now 11 weeks old and we’ve just taken out the newborn cushion as he was out growing it at a rate of knots! It will last him until 9Kgs.

The Swoon Up is different from other baby chairs and bouncers on the market as it has two height positions, and rotates 360 degrees! We mainly use it in the top position, as it brings Arlo up to the height of the table so he can be with the rest of the family as we eat meals, or watch Athena colouring at the table! The fact that the chair swivels fully without having to move the feet is perfect for us as we have a combined living room/kitchen so I can just move rotate him so he can see what we’re up to wherever we are in the room! It also means he is away from any drafts that might shoot under doors and as a C-section mama it was great not to have to keep bending down to take him out of or put him in a chair on the floor.

The seat cocoons the baby in an ergonomic position, and both the back of the seat and the foot move independently, giving three different seating positions, including lay flat so perfect for daytime naps, and is a one-handed adjust too! There is a 5 point harness with a lovely soft crotch pad for added comfort, and you can clip just the waist in without the shoulder straps if you needed to. We took the Swoon Up away with us when we went on holiday as it has a surprising compact fold with a carry handle included. The ‘footprint’ of the Swoon Up is quite large, but because the legs are spaced far apart I tend to store the nappy basket and spare clothes underneath it to utilise the space, and often hang a blanket or a couple of muslins from the curved part under the chair. The toy bar at the top is removable, has different positions as baby grows and the toys do different things (rattle, squeak, crinkle!) We have the ‘Aluminium’ model with lighter cushions, but there is a ‘zinc’ version for those with a darker colour scheme at home! The seat material is fully washable and unzips easily for cleaning.

The Swoon Up retails at £119.99 and comes with Babymoovs amazing lifetime guarantee plus free shipping. There is also the Swoon Motion, which is lower but has a range of different movements and sounds to sooth your baby.
