What the kids wore: Lamb & Bear

Athena wears her uniform (or PJ’s!) five full days a week. She’s like me and is a fan of comfort so as soon as she arrives home she heads off to take her ‘unicorn’ off and gets into PJs. This means that her time in her own clothes is restricted to the weekends and holidays, which makes washing easier for me but means I have a lot less fun outfits to share these days! But last weekend Athena picked her own outfit to wear to a soft play party and well full on Flamingo themed!

Her top is a summer cotton blouse that I would only let her wear with a a long sleeved T shirt underneath, and was originally from M&S though I think I got it via a charity shop, from memory! Her amazing leggings are from Lamb & Bear Wear, and are generously cut with a super soft and comfortable wide waist band. So often this poor kid gets a bit of a builders bum situation in leggings, but not with these! I love the print and the muted background colour, I think it would go with everything! Excuse the rain marks on her cuffs, she’s a fan of going through puddles at high speed whatever shes wearing!

Her plimsolls are also flamingo print and completely unsuitable for a wet November but there was no telling her, plus it meant she could kick them on and off easily for soft play, so I let her get on with it! Her coat was one of this years January Sale bargains from Zara and I really wish it came in my size, it’s got the snuggliest fleece lining and big pockets! It is however going a bit bobbly on the sleeves, so I’ll have to shave them off! The bobbles not the sleeves…

Lamb & Bear is run by designer Alex, who has carefully created an amazing selection of prints, available in leggings, swaddle blankets, headbands and more! And a little bird tells me that there are UNICORNS coming to the shop soon!

Athena and I have been sporting the Rhino headbands, you can’t beat a little Mother Daughter twinning! Her’s us in our matching Rhino headbands, with a Rhino in the background at Marwell Zoo!
