Seascape UK & attempting to relax

‘The middle trimester is the honeymoon period’ or so the saying goes. Well it may be, but if so then I dread to think what the next three months will bring! In fact I have a pretty good guess, I’m already struggling with walking at more than a snails pace, and get ‘bump strain’ when I walk up hills or stairs. However I am attempting to look after myself and relax as much as possible, in the hopes that I can keep doing so right until the baby gets here! Ways to ‘indulge’ that I’ve found help to relax are putting my phone on silent (apart from work calls, alas I need to answer those whenever they happen!) and ignoring social networks for a bit and relaxing with a book, more often that not in a hot bath. I figure I won’t have a huge amount of time to read once I become a mama so better get as much done now as I can! (In case you’re wondering I’ve read Lone WolfExtremely Loud and Incredibly Close, and A Long Way Down this month)

I’ve been using Seascape UKs ’Soothe’ range during and post bath, it was sent to me to try as it is perfect for pregnant ladies as the aromatherapy oils used are all safe for use throughout pregnancy, and you would genuinely be surprised which oils you shouldn’t use, including Cedarwood, Bitter Almond, Basil, Rosemary and Thyme (source)
The body wash contains Neroli, Lavender & Ylang Ylang with Jersey Honey, and you can identify each scent when you use it, which makes a nice change from your average ‘scented’ bath products, but not in an artificial overpowering way! The Body Butter is made with Jersey Beeswax, Shea Butter & Rosehip Seed Oil, and has a lovely thick and creamy consistency, with none of the ‘artificial’ feel that I hate with body creams and lotions! All the ranges from Seascape UK are free from paraben’s, silicone, petroleum and  are also SLS free, along with having no artificial colours and not tested on animals, so all round a good egg company! They are based on Jersey and they source many of their ingredients from the Island itself. Now obviously the packaging and design isn’t the most important aspect, but the packaging is so pretty! You have to love a Seahorse, any species where the MAN carries the children is alright with me!
Any order is dispatched free of charge, and there are some lovely gifts, as well as a range for the men and children in your lives! If you’re undecided for Mothers day (its the 10th March folks!) then perhaps here’s your answer!
I posted an update on preparations for the baby this week on my other blog, along with a list of things we’ve got, am I missing anything?

  1. These look amazing, I have a friend who has just announced her pregnancy so I think I know what to get her for her birthday!
