#SmartDiscoveries with the SmarTrike Infinity 5-in1 trike

IMG_9534Arlo has a new set of wheels; he’s been test driving the brand new SmarTrike 5-in-1 infinity trike. Designed to take a child from 10 months to 3 years and through a variety of stages:

Stage 1: Sleep mode – the seat reclines back for comfy naps and has a high back so plenty of head support

Stage 2: 10 months upwards baby can chill in the seat using the footrests provided and is secured with the safety bar

Stage 3: 18 months upwards your toddler can ditch the safety bar and get more involved, learning extra balance and mum or dad can  continue to push and control the trike.

Stage 4: From 24 months it becomes a training trike, so the pedals can be in use but someone a bit more responsible can still make sure you head in the right direction.

Stage 5: At 30 months the parent handle can go and it becomes an independent trike that kids pedal by themselves!

What we love about the trike is that Arlo can get really involved in what we’re up to, looking around at his surroundings, interacting with us and his sister and generally having an amazing time, and this is evident because he throws a hissy-fit every time we try and take him out! We took Arlo to one of our favourite places to visit as a family last weekend, Amberley Working Museum as there is loads to see and if he’s in a buggy he’d probably end up chilling out and not paying much attention, but in the SmarTrike he is far more active and involved in what we’re seeing. A huge plus is that Athena can push Arlo around with the handle at the lowest height setting. Other features we love are the adjustable sun canopy that canbe completely removed, the big storage bag that fits all the bits we pick up from the local shop in it and the handy little parent pocket at the top, perfect for your phone, wallet and keys!

So, see what Arlo discovered on his SmarTrike in a video I filmed of our day out!

  1. I love the way the seat reclines back. We have smart trike that’s 3 years old. It’s supposed to be handed down to my second. She’s already 18 months old and I haven’t got a chance to put her in yet. I keep forgetting.
