S/S trends with Trevor Sorbie Brighton

A couple of weeks ago I headed to Trevor Sorbie in the Lanes. They had invited people along to learn about the new trends in colour and style and to reveal two new offers to celebrate 10 years of the Salon and fifty years of Trevor hair dressing!  (He’s 65, I asked!) We learnt that this summer red tones will be big, so not just an A/W trend. We were shown balayage, which looks fantastic.  It’s a selection of hand coloured sections to basically make your hair look sun kissed and natural. and is far less obvious than traditional ombre.

We were also shown a few hairstyles, and I volunteered to have a braided style. I felt a bit sorry for Anna Chapman as my hair was freshly washed but she did a lovely halo braid for me (she’s clearly well practised as she does hair for LFW and PFW!) She explained that it works better with 2 or 3 day old hair, and to yank it about a bit once it’s up so it looks undone. I’ve tried it at home since and it’s actually easier than I thought, Considering I have so much hair! Kirby grips are your friends people! It would be an ideal way to keep your hair out of your face at festivals when you might not get a chance to wash it as much as you would! I’ve been using it on day 3 to try and extend my hair washing from 2 days to 3, and so far so good!

We also had demonstrations of the low pony, which looks amazing but never seems to work for me. It’s all about the placement of the side part (in line with the arch of the eyebrow) and the back combing, which is something I need to try and work on, i’m always so paranoid I won’t be able to comb it out!

The two new offers that the Brighton Trevor Sorbie salon are offering are:
Root touch up & blow dry – a quick fix for between proper colours or for a pre night out boost – £25
Sun Kissed in Seconds – natural looking highlights to brighten your face/style – £25
Both these offers are available across all levels of stylist, so are brilliant value for money!

You can follow @TrevorSorbieBTN on twitter, visit their webpage here or call 01273 220007 to book an appointment. I’m thinking about the sun kissed in seconds but as I daftly box dyed my hair last time I might need to wait a bit! You can see my previous hair experiences at the Trevor Sorbie salon here and here and I thoroughly recommend them, always a relaxing experience, well looked after and nobody asks you ‘going on holiday anywhere nice?’
