Last week has been pretty lovely, illness aside. We had a little trip away for Arlo’s birthday, he turned two on Friday! Sam had another week off work following his snowboard trip the week before and the kids made the most of having him home a lot! I’ll be writing about each of our days out next week along with a couple of videos too so I’m going to keep this short and sweet and move on to #LittleLoves and just leave a few pictures here…

I’ve not finished a book this week, but I have been reading a lot of news and current affairs websites to try and keep up to date with the (often depressing) news.
Watched
I’ve caught up with Designated Survivor on Netflix (OOohhh it’s good!) and started the new season of Grace & Frankie.
Heard
I’ve started listening to the S.Town podcast, which is interesting so far but I’m only one episode in! I’ve also heard Arlo talking so much! His speech has been developing so fast over the past few weeks and its just amazing!
Made
Not a lot! I didn’t even make Arlo a cake as we were away for his birthday.
Wore
I found a jumper in H&M that is in two of my favourite colours to wear, dusky pink and grey… It’s the jumper of dreams… until another one comes along anyway.
And Lastly…
If anyone has a magical solution to getting kids to go to sleep in hotel rooms without being complete and utter little buggers please let me in on the secret! Two nights in a row of not sleeping till far too late and then waking up lots has truly broken us. Neither Sam or I was feeling brilliant anyway as we were both run down so having hardly any sleep and two full on days out didn’t help! I work up this morning with a sty in one eye and basically want to spend the day in bed but sadly that’s not on the agenda!
God, the news is so flipping depressing these days, I have to stop listening to it sometimes otherwise it just gets overwhelming. I too am only one episode in, I’m not sure what to think of it yet, but I’m looking forward to finding some time to listening to more!

Love those pics from Peppa Pig World. Sounds like Arlo had a blast on his birthday! As for getting them to sleep in hotel rooms, I’d love to know the trick too! I’ve tried everything from sitting in the tiny bathrooms for what seems like forever to turning all the lights off early and nothing seems to work. Have a great week!

I’ve got no hotel tips, I’ll never forget turning the lights off and pretending to go to sleep to get my eldest to sleep when she was 2 and then having to hide in the bathroom. Not fun! xx
