What the children read – A Collection of Nursery Rhymes

I’m not sure i’ve mentioned yet but we were picked to be Parragon Book Buddies a little while ago, which was amazing news as you can never have enough books and I hope to instill a love of books in my children like my parents did with me!

Our first book is a gorgeous one, and I think i’m enjoying it as much as Athena is! It’s chockablock full of all the traditional rhymes and tunes, some of which I remember from my own childhood and some that are brand new to me! The book is a hardback with a very luxe feeling padded cover that should withstand most grabbing little hands! The rhymes with actions have them included too, so we can brush up our skills before heading to the playgroups to join in! Although Row Row Row your boat needed no introduction as it’s definitely Athenas favourite tune at the moment!

The Collection is split into four sections; action, animal, bedtime and counting rhymes and all illustrated by the talented Annabelle Ozanne who illustrated all of the Cute as a Button range. The pictures are timeless and very sweet too! There’s actually a baby record book in the same style! The collection would make a brilliant arrival, christening or birthday present for any little person!
