Athena has always been interested in my jewellery, and in her Nanna’s too, she’s often wearing different dangly earrings and necklaces unlike me, I tend to wear the same things day in, day out! I thought it would be lovely to get her a bracelet or necklace that were ‘for special’ rather than the plastic tat she’s obsessed with, especially as she’s about to turn four and keeps telling us she’s a ‘big girl’! Kaya Jewellery got in touch to see if I would like to review something and instead of picking for me I chose something to give to Athena. I wanted to choose something special, that she could keep safe and cherish. I picked a child sized necklace with a silver engraved disc with a gem stone. It’s the perfect size for a child’s pendant, not too heavy that it will annoy her and the chain has a couple of clasps so you can get the right length, and adjust it as they grow. Its 36cm at the longest, which actually just about fits round my neck! Another great place to look for personalised necklaces is get name necklace, who have a great variety to choose from too.

Athena was over the moon when I showed it to her, she adores it and we had to have words about her not wearing it to preschool as I didn’t want it to get broken or caught on anything. The engraving (her name and date of birth) is hand engraved in a sweet cursive writing style. You can have up to three lines of writing, and also put writing on the reverse if you’d like too, maybe a hidden message?

  34. Mom and me bracelet star set is stunning. My daughter is forever robbing my braclets so its a fab idea to have matching ones. Make her feel grown up and like mummy by having her own special bracelet that actually fits!!!
