Fun for all the family this Christmas with Very.co.uk

16th December 202116th December 2021

For this festive season Very.co.uk asked me to pick a range of activities and games that are fun for all the family, and I think I’ve found a really good selection. Family games are one of life’s great pleasures, and now my youngest has stopped throwing a hissy fit (well, mostly!) when he loses they’re… Read More

Play: K’nex Amazin’ 8 Roller Coaster review

22nd October 202122nd October 2021

This post contains items sent to us for the purpose of reviewing. Opinions & words are my own. Osmo Pizza Co Review – hands on educational games

3rd September 202122nd October 2021

With the kids going back to school imminently we’ve been starting to build up their learning in fun ways to help them get prepared for what will hopefully be a full year of learning at school, unlike the last two due to lockdowns.  Osmo is one my ‘go to’ activity for learning and fun… and… Read More

Present Pets – Toy Review

30th September 202030th September 2020

Myย  children love to watch ‘unboxing’ videos,ย  ย so a toyย  that unboxes itself was definitely something I thought they’d really love. Present Pets unbox themselvesย  from inside the box, with noises and movement and little paw print shaped holes gradually appearing in the box until it opens up to reveal the mysteryย  pet!ย  ย There are… Read More

Coding for kids made fun with Osmo

16th September 202014th October 2020
Osmo kids coding app review

Coding sounds scary, when I first heard that it would be included in the curriculum for kids I had visions of kids sat working out tricky lines of computer code. It’s actually very different to that and now I get to see it first hand with the Osmo Coding Kit. If you’re not sure what… Read More

Disclosure: We were sent the featured product for the purpose of this post however all opinions are my own. Who remembers making friendship bracelets at school? I do! Beautiful blue skies from earlier in the week. Aru Beautiful blue skies from earlier in the week. Arundel castle is somewhere I've lived close to for my whole life, yet had only ever visited as a very small child. This week I visited the gardens with a friend and absolutely loved it, and will definitely be back to visit the castle itself. The glimpse I saw when we had tea a d scones in the restaurant was gorgeous!

I'm trying to make a reel by instasham keeps glitching and I can't add music, so maybe you'll see it and maybe you won't ๐Ÿ™„

After another really busy week I'm switching off for the weekend to celebrate a friend's birthday tomorrow and out for a stroll on Sunday ๐Ÿ™Œ

Sam did the longer 5 mile run along the sand whilst the tide was out but we walked home via the shop for congratulatory ice creams instead of waiting for him as it was well past bedtime by that point!

Ad|gifted๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿฆ—๐ŸŒˆ We've been playing #Mantis a Ad|gifted๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿฆ—๐ŸŒˆ We've been playing #Mantis a lot recently, it's a new game but has quickly become a firm favourite, with us and the friends we've played it with.

Each game lasts around 10 minutes so it's great to play whilst dinners cooking, but you might want to carry on during dinner as it's a little addictive and you'll end up playing a few rounds ๐ŸŽ‰

The aim of the game is to score ten points first by collecting sets of coloured cards. Easy right!? No, because other players can sabotage you and steal your cards for themselves (but, you might have the chance to steal them back!)

It's really easy to pick up and Arlo managed to beat us all on his first time playing ๐Ÿคช another plus is that's it's very portable and you don't need too much space to play, so perfect to take to friends houses, restaurants and on holiday!

It's from the team who bought us #ExplodingKittens and you can purchase this and other games from explodingkittens.com ๐Ÿ’ฅ

Determined to switch off this weekend, I've been flat out at work for the past two weeks & worked a lot of last weekend too. The problem (which is also a positive) with working freelance is that you can do it anytime but it doesn't necessarily mean you should ๐Ÿคช
We're spending time with friends, doing some gardening and hopefully some cross stitch on the new garden sofa I spent hours putting together yesterday!
