#30daysofSummer with Yumi

Amazingly this week has been gloriously warm and sunny still down here on the South Coast! Annoyingly last weekend it was a bit gloomier where we were in Norfolk, but not one to be put off when I’ve decided what I’m wearing, I just added leggings! I’m also fairly excited that it’s soon going to be autumn, there’s almost nothing I love more than a long cardigan!

This was the perfect outfit from Yumi for a morning chilling out with family before we trekked back down to Sussex with a pit stop at Ikea! To be honest this gorgeous floral print wrap over dress deserves a nicer day out than a trip to Ikea and I think it is actually top of the list for a wedding I’m going to in a couple of weeks! It’s floaty and flattering on my post-baby-belly, and has three quarter length sleeves for a little extra coverage, and warmth!

I think the navy of the dress goes brilliantly with the warm mustard tones of the long waist tie cardigan (which has pockets! holy grail of cardigans!) and the shoes are flat but with pointed toes, functional and fashionable!  I’m starting to feel more confident in dresses again, and not always in the ‘mum uniform’ of jeans and T shirts! It really makes a difference to how I feel about myself when I feel confident in what I’m wearing now i’ve started to embrace the fact that I will have wobbly bits for a while probably!

Making the most of a lovely big mirror and uncluttered hallway at the Mother in Laws…

and with my brood at Ikea. Athena looks thrilled to be there, doesn’t she? Although she had just been sick in the car so who can blame her?

I was able to choose an outfit from the website for the purpose of this blog post.

  1. That dress is gorgeous and I love your cardigan too. I don’t think I’ve ever owned anything from Yumi but it’s totally my style – off to have a look x
