Wanderlust: Liverpool’s instagrammable spots

This is  a collaborative post

I’ve not been to Liverpool since before we had kids, but Sam and I spent a weekend there a few months before we got married and I  remember it fondly! We stayed  in a hotel in Albert Dock , which was the perfect base to explore the city from.  I think it was before I was using instagram regularly   so  I can’t remember if I shared anything  at the time. If we were to visit again there would definitely be some liverpool love happening on instagram, and I would have been stalking out great places to visit, eat and sleep on instagram beforehand too!

Liverpool One have put together a great   guide to instagrammable spots in the city, that you can see below. My  ‘must do’ would be to do the Tower Experience at Liverpool Cathedral. Not only is the Cathedral itself   pretty atmospheric and  full of photo opps but the view from the top of the bell tower gives you unrivalled 360   views across the city – amazing!

There is loads more inspiration to be found on  instagram of course, as the city has such a long history and so many amazing buildings and area to explore. Look out for amazing graffiti,  statues, beatles related  scenes and so much more!. Now I’m not sure if the famous Yellow Submarine is still there  in Albert Dock but if it is it’s definitely instagram worthy!

Even at night Liverpool has some amazing photo opportunities, with the lights around  the docks and the city lighting it up. If you were to cross to the opposite side of the Mersey River and look back towards the city centre you would also see some amazing examples of different types of architecture,  the Museum of Liverpool in front of the much more traditional Liver building, for example.   Plus, with a bustling bar and restaurant scene you’ll have no trouble finding some super instagrammable food and drink too.
