Style: Kids Spring Wardrobe inspiration

kids spring wardrobe

At the end of last week I genuinely thought that we would be packing away all the thick coats and hats and gloves really soon, but then the temperatures suddenly dropped again and we’re still firmly in woolly layers- I even had to order a thermal top for Athena for her forset school sessions! But, even though spring may not have sprung just yet that doesn’t stop me from thinking about spring wardrobes! I shared some inspiration for my own spring capsule wardrobe last week, so this week it’s all about kids clothes!
Athena is really loving dresses still, but also loves to hurtle around and climb on things, so dresses need to be paired with leggings mostly! I tend to keep her in trainers when it;s not welly weather, and these high tops with gold studs are pretty awesome. The little rabbit pumps are also amazing, with the little fluffy pom pom tails! Definitely a more ‘for best’ shoe that every day though!
Arlo is a huge fan of baseball caps, but the few left from last summer that still fit are looking a bit tired, so I loved the look of this wink print cap, though realistically light grey isn’t the best choice for a three year old boy! I love the embroidered badges on the shorts, which are a light jersey material and lovely for running around in, I always think when kids are in short non-stretchy shorts that they can’t be that comfortable, I know I wouldn’t be!
As we spend a lot of time at the beach jelly-shoes are a must for both kids, and these have closed toes which means less chance of little pebbles getting in and under the toes!
All the items I’ve picked are from the Junior section at OD’s Designer Clothing website.  I’d love to know if you’ve got any essentials in your kids’s spring wardrobes?
