3 Cities to visit on the South Coast

I love living on the South Coast, it’s great to live and great to visit too! I’ve picked three cities on the South Coast that you really should come and see!

Bournemouth

Whats the vibe?

A cosmopolitan, busy coastal city.

What do do in the city

With seven miles of sandy beaches there is a lot of relaxing to be done, but if you’re a bit more active then try your hand at watersports, or hire a bike and ride through the cities lush green parks. There’s an Oceanarium with penguins, as well as a zipwire on the pier! The nightlife is pretty active too, with clubs and bars to suit every taste and every age!

What to do outside the city

Take a trip to the beautiful Hartland Moor nature reserve, or maybe a day at Paultons Park theme park might be more up your street! Splashdown water park is close by too for a day of soaking wet fun!

Brighton

Whats the vibe?

Anything goes in this laid back, multicultural city.

What do do in the city

A different bar or pub for every day of the year (and then some!) plus a whole host of amazing cuisines to try too. The beach is busy and bustling, try your hand in the arcades on the pier, see the city with a birds eye view from the i360 or step back in time with a stroll round the Brighton Pavilion. Head into Hove for some people watching or maybe some watersports on the seafront! With so many apartments in brighton to choose from you can really soak up the Brighton lifestlye by staying a few days!

What to do outside the city

Head up to Devil’s Dyke for some countryside views and a drink at the pub, or head east along to Seven Sisters country park for a stroll along the coast. You can also get into London on the train in an hour!

Southampton

What’s it like?

A port city, so you could set sail on a cruise to anywhere in the world from here! Great UK transport links to the rest of the country.

What do do in the city

Visit the dock yards to dream of going on an Ocean liner, take a boat trip, visit the historic merchants house, or spend time in the hands-on SeaCity Museum. Lots of shopping to be done too, as well as a giant Ikea! The Mayflower Theatre is the largest on the South Coast and is host to great shows and acts throughout the year.

What to do outside the city

Hop over the Solent to explore the beautiful New Forest, or head north to explore medieval Winchester city. You could also take a day trip to the Isle of Wight, with its beautiful beaches and retro theme parks.
