When the weather gets colder it’s always nice to try and revive my skin with a new routine, so step in the Oils of Life from The Body Shop. I’ve been using the range for almost a month now and my skin is feeling and looking good!
The range Combines three oils from around the world, specifically chosen for their repairing and revitalising properties:
- Black Cumin seed oil from Egypt
- Rosehip seed oil from Chile
- Camellia seed oil from China#
The intensely revitalising lotion is the first step, applied to a freshly cleansed face using a cotton pad, and I use this both morning and night.
I then use a couple of drops of the facial oil in the evenings, and smooth it into my neck and face using upward strokes, for an oil it’s surprisingly non greasy and has the most delicious scent. I follow this with a swipe of the revitalising cream and pat in gently, you can use this in the mornings too but I tend to apply a slightly thicker layer at night and let it soak in, so tend not to feel I need to apply in the mornings as the lotion is enough. There is also a gel version of the cream which is a little lighter, but my thirty-plus skin needs all the help it can get! There is even a little workout to do whilst you apply, although I must admit I don’t often have the energy to even manage this of an evening at the moment!
This range just feels so luxurious to me, the smell reminds me of the scents you get in a spa, so using these creams and lotions makes me feel like I’m getting a proper treatment each time I use them! The packaging is spot on too, definitely a little different from previous ranges from The Body Shop and I think judging by the rave reviews on their website is one that is proving really popular! Each item comes in a sleek white box too, in case you’re on the look out in stores!
With all these products a little goes a long way, I’ve found and almost a month of use has hardly made a dent in the containers so far! I’ve noticed a definite decrease in dry patches on my face, and am also experiencing less blackheads and breakouts too, although the fact that I am giving myself a proper cleanse (I used the vitamin E cream cleanser) before I use the Oils of Life range instead of using a face wipe is probably helping too!
You can view the full range here, including the funky looking twin-ball facial massager!
I was sent these products to review, all words and opinions are my own.

Skis is the biggest organ on human body and we should take good care of it. Great post!
Such an unusual mix of oils, I’ve never heard of black cumin seed oil. I love Body Shop products so would be happy to try this.
I would be interested to see if they contain parabens in them. The body shop seems to be trying to update
