Our photos this month aren’t anything special to look at, but they are special to us as this photo was taken on our fourth wedding anniversary. Sam had cooked a huge lasagne and we had a nice family dinner, which may seem boring to some but we probably only manage to eat dinner together as a family once or twice a week at best due to shifts etc!
November has shot by, it’s normally a month I find that goes really slowly but not this year. We’ve been busy sorting things out in our home, putting deposits down for new carpet and two new windows and they should be sorted before Christmas hopefully. We did a few DIY bits around the house and also did a few major clear outs of clothes and toys too.
I’ve been getting stuck in to the two new clients I am running social media and outreach for, which has been a lot of fun. I also got a new blog design up and running and am so pleased with it! I’ve always done my designs myself in the past as I am alright at html and CSS with a bit of Google help but there were a few things that I just couldn’t sort out so I asked a designer for help to continue my circles theme and then spent some time tweaking and playing about with images. I’ve still got work to do as I want to simplify my categories but I’m getting there! Also this month I have stopped breastfeeding Arlo and bought myself some new dresses to celebrate! Oh! and lets talk about those four episodes of Gilmore Girls… say WHAT?! I need to watch them again!
Sam was invited to interview for a new position within his company (well, ours as I still work there a day a week) and he also spent a fun morning sorting out all the toys and categorising them, and labelling the boxes with my label maker! We’ve also started to watch ‘Designated Survivor’ together, as we didn’t have a ‘boxset’ on the go together, and we watched the film Nerve (awesome, watch it!)
Arlo has finally stopper getting teary and clingy as I drop him off at the childminders which makes me feel so much better, I know he has a good time when he is there as she sends photos of him happy and playing, but it’s still hard when he was crying as I dropped him off! He also had an operation earlier this week to remove some teeth that had chipped away to next to nothing, he had a general anaesthetic.
Athena is still her bright and chipper self, she had a bit of a cold so had a few long naps but is now back to normal, getting excited about ‘Santan’ (hah!) coming to delivery her presents at Christmas and is going to be an Angel in the preschool nativity play in a couple of weeks, we’ve been helping her learn the songs, hardly any of which are what you would call ‘traditional’ nativity songs, but hey ho!
Oh such a lovely family photo, theres nothing better than sitting around the table together as a family. It sounds like you have achieved some great milestones too x
Lovely family captures. Good luck in the interview for hubs and that boxset I will have to check out we need a new one to watch together. #meandmineproject
Lovely natural family shots – love that you’re around the table, something that we do three times a day but rarely document. Good luck for your interview Lauren xx #meandmineproject
