Wellies gifted for review.
Seeing as Autumn has landed with a bang and it’s rained pretty much daily since the start of October we’ve had to up our school run game and add wellies! We walk to school and then the kids play outside whatever the weather and then again at after-school club… plus walking or scooting home again – so sturdy waterproof shoes are a must!
The kids both have a new pair from Rydale that have been doing the job of keeping their feet warm and dry! The ‘Splish Splash’ wellies come lots of different and fun patterns and in sizes 3 to 13. There is also a junior range that comes in bigger sizes – all perfect for puddle jumping!
Whenever possible I let the kids pick the styles of clothes they’d like. After a quick look at the website Arlo chose Bees, lovely bright ones on a navy background. Athena picked a pony pattern with pink edging. I will always pick wellies with a handle whenever I have the choice as it makes it so much easier to get them on! Also off, especially when they’re muddy as the kids can use the handles to pull them down and off rather than getting their hands mucky.
A sturdy sole with lots of grip mean Rydale wellies have no chance of slipping, and a reinforced area where the upper meets the sole should stop any potential leaks too! They come up true to size but are big enough to wear with slightly thicker socks – as we tend to in winter!
Rydale also do a range of puddle suits in funky designs, as well as rain jackets and hoodies. In fact they stock a huge variety of outdoor wear for the whole family – designed to look good but be functional too!
Your kids are so sweet! Mine love to jump in puddles too – love the handles on the side, super handy!
Yep it definitely is that time of year isn’t it! We need a puddle suit for nursery so I’ll take a look, love the fun prints
