Days out: Drusillas in Autumn

17th October 201812th March 2019

We love Drusillas, it’s the perfect family day out and we spent the day there last Sunday – and despite the slightly miserable weather forecast it didn’t rain all day and we got to do everything we wanted to! I’d definitely recommend going in Autumn, especially if you have kids that can be a bit… Read More

ZSL London Zoo has got to be one of the most fun days out we’ve had this year, there is so much to see and do and I think people of all ages would be entertained! It first opened to the public in 1847 and sits in the top corner of Regents Park, so it’s… Read More

Chilled in a Field Festival 2018

14th August 20184th March 2019

We spent last weekend being very chilled out in a field, and in the woods! We’d been invited to Chilled in a Field festival, and it was both the kids’ and Sam’s first ever weekend festival experience, and the perfect introduction. Chilled in a Field is a small family friendly festival that takes place in the… Read More

We were so lucky to be invited to Paradise Wildlife Park on Saturday for the grand opening of their new attraction, the World of Dinosaurs. Travel: The Best Swimming Pools in Sussex

11th October 20174th March 2019

Swimming is probably one of the best forms of exercise we can do. It’s not restricted to age or fitness level, and is even suitable for the physically and mentally impaired in appropriate set ups with qualified support. If you don’t feel up to braving a sea swim, Sussex has some great swimming pools, inside… Read More

Instagram post 2196774505569136899_13537162 Arlo is exhausted, this first term has completely knackered him out. He's tearful in the evenings, angry when he wakes up and little things becoming big things in an instant. Roll on the holidays! On the plus side he's had a few naps recently and I've been loving the cuddles 🥰
also... once I've voted tomorrow after the school run I'll be avoiding the media and occupying myself with wrapping and finishing off my tax return 😌 Don't get me wrong I care a lot about the outcome but once I've voted its out of my hands 🤷‍♀️

Instagram post 2195322082879169973_13537162 This photo does not represent today, Sam took it yesterday on a bike ride with the kids. Today was not peaceful, serene or calm like the photo... it *was* bright but I was driving into the sun squinting as I forgot my sunglasses 🤣 The stress was all mother related instead of child though which makes a change. Roll on Christmas! .

Instagram post 2193865288138950809_13537162 My word these two completely finished me off today. Bickering, a sequin explosion, more bickering, a glue stick related incident, lots of rolling around on floors and pavements, a pushing over fight and a long conversation about why we need to listen.
I'm probably fairly laid back when it comes to parenting, and they get away with loads compared to their friends but today they were really pushing my buttons bedtime couldn't have come round fast enough! I don't even have any chocolat to scoff as a pick me up!
Praying for a kinder Sunday, all round. I don't like being a shouty mum 😭
Instagram post 2193139960303066301_13537162 Last Thursday I spent a kid free day in London with my friend Nick then felt bad as the kids would've loved all the Christmas lights (apart from Oxford street as nobody could like them as they're dull as dishwater this year)
I'm settling onto the sofa tonight having put our own tree up after school today, I have a cuppa, two things with holes in to mend and a cheesy netflix festive film (basically seen them all now🤪) What are your weekend plans?
