What the baby read: Peter Rabbit Collection

Okay so perhaps the title of this post should be ‘what mama read to the baby’ but I have been really loving revisiting these  classics as our bedtime stories recently. We were sent the library of Peter Rabbit classics from The Works, who have stores dotted about the country and a really well stocked website too. As well as books, The Works stock lots of crafty bits, puzzles, toys and stationery too.

Ten hardback books make up this collection with a presentation box to keep them all neat and tidy.  I’ve read a different story to Athena each evening and as she’s only just turned one I think I’m probably enjoying them much more than her at the moment if I’m completely honest! I may actually have read the whole collection to myself after she’s nodded off… But I do know that if she loves these stories as much as I did when I was younger that they’ll be firm favourites as she grows up, and as they are hardback copies they will hopefully stand the test of time and she can share them with her children in years to come!

The stories that are included are:

The Tale of Peter Rabbit
The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin
The Tailor of Gloucester
The Tale of Two Bad Mice
The Tale of Mrs. Twiggy-Winkle
The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher
The Tale of Tom Kitten
The Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck
The Tale of The Flopsy Bunnies

Each page has gorgeous classic illustrations and easy to read print, which will be perfect for when Athena is learning to read herself.

You can use the store locator to find your nearest branch of The Works or order online, currently orders over £10 get free delivery using the code DELTEN or if you text THEWORKS to 60777  you can get 20% off!
