So I went on a road trip and it rained and I had to buy an old lady dome umbrella. It rained when I came home. It rains on the way to work and I get wet feet. It rains whenever I want to go for a run (good excuse right). So the weather is making me feel miserable and grey.
Jonathan (who I went to Bristol and Bath with) introduced me to Earl Grey tea with lavender, from Twinings. He takes it with milk, I don’t. Every night before we climbed into our hotel beds, we had a cup of earl grey. Jonathan doesn’t even remember this happening on one night as he claims he has no recollection of getting back to the hotel (too much beer and spicy pizza I think, see right for pictorial evidence)
I hadn’t tried it before, but I like it almost as much as I like lady grey tea! You can buy tea online, if you want to try it for yourself, and look how awesome this gift set is!
“‘I wonder if I’ve been changed in the night? Let me think: was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I’m not the same, the next question is ‘Who in the world am I?’ Ah, that’s the great puzzle!'”
– Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland, Ch. 2
You can buy tea gifts on the Twinings website, they have five different literary choices, and this is definitely my favourite range, and I think I have my ex librarian step mums present sorted for her next birthday already!
And a quick search for tea and Twinings on pinterest (mine is here) gave me these two awesome images!
I will get round to posting the pictures from our west country road trip one day in the not too distant future, I promise! I hunted down a load of banksy art and lots of other street art!
