What the kids wore: Jojo Maman Bebe A/W

My two little people have been lucky enough to get a new outfit from the A/W collection from Jojo Maman Bebe. Athena picked her own dress and cardigan out, but I decided on a pair of dungarees for Arlo because I just don’t think he really minds what he wears just yet but I want to keep him in dungarees for as long as possible! Jojo Maman Bebe has always been a favourite of mine for comfy well made kids clothes, both my children wore a little knitted cardigan in newborn size that has now been wrapped up and placed in the memory box for me to shed a few tears over when they are big and grown up! I really love for children to look like children for as long as possible and I really love that Jojo clothes still look like clothes for kids to have fun, not like little versions of inappropriate adult clothes! 

Athena picked out the most gorgeous corduroy pinafore dress in navy with a happy smiling Dinosaur on the front with floral spikes along his back. It buttons up the back and as it has pinafore straps it can be worn over a top or without without looking odd. I think it will look great with bright tights and wellies for puddle splashing in winter, and I love pink edging detail on the bottom hem! It’s from the ‘Dino Roaaaaaarrr’ collection and there are also jumpers, tunics and tops with happy dinosaurs on them too! Her gorgeous cable-knit cardigan is so soft (but still machine washable) and has a funky tassel on the end of a pointed hood. It buttons right up to the neck for added cosiness and is generously sized, I had to roll the sleeves up but I know it will last a couple of years at least! It’s also available in navy and cream too.

Arlo’s dungarees are from the ‘layer up’ collection, which is full of soft and comfy outfits. These have adjustable straps and cargo style pockets on the legs and front, as well as on the bottom. The best feature of course is the poppers that do up on the inside leg seams for easy nappy changes! The corduroy is super soft and the taupey brown is neutral enough to go with anything. Although you can’t see it when worn there is a gorgeous tartan lining too, lovely down to the last detail which is something Jojo Maman Bebe are so good at! These are going be perfect when the weather gets cooler and they’re generously sized to allow for a vest and long sleeved top underneath with a jumper over if needed!

I’ve put all the clothes through the washing machine and they’ve come out as good as new.
