In August my friend Yasmin got married, and because she did it on Scotland she was allowed an outside ceremony at her parents house, unlike here in England.
sock bunting, and a ceilidh, whisky & an amazing outdoor ceremony. It was perfect and if my wedding guests look HALF as happy as Yasmins then i’ll consider it a success!
There was a lovely little area for camping in, and a little grotto (not pictured!) in the woods with a rope swing and fairy lights galore!
Their ceremony was a humanist one, so it included both a ring exchange, hand fasting and their own (very personal and touching) vows.
Yasmin made her dress herself, AND did her own hair, hence me asking her to do mine for my wedding 🙂
We were up till the early hours round a gaggle of talented musicians and their guitars, after dancing ourselves silly at a Ceilidh. Oh, and the favours were hand made finger puppets, and the first dance was to System of a Down.
I know that Yasmin and her parents and friends/family put so much effort into making their day so amazing, and it truly did pay off, I had the best day!
And now its less that ten weeks till mine! scarrrrryyyy.
OH MY GOSH 10 WEEKS EEEEEEEK <3
aw this looks like a perfect day & that they got exactly what they wanted. I hope she enjoyed every moment of it
