In which I love German food

sweet potato fries // stir fried duck (on the train!) // Emily eating potato salad and sausages

enchiladas // fajitas

White sausage & sweet mustard // hooters burger!

Pretzel face!

scrummy chocolate

two cakes of unknown names and on the left, unknown ingredients! Our best guess was fig.

Chocolate shop!

Raspberry and apple cake with custard and biscuit crumb topping (best ever)

Alas my iphone (well, being truthful it was probably my fault) managed to delete the first two days of pictures in Germany, but I had my normal camera with me anyway so not too annoying! So there would be more, but alas, there are not, because I take pictures of food with my phone… and not my camera. By the end of the trip I had Emily so well trained she didn’t even pick up her fork until I had snapped the food! (she still thinks I am weird)

What is your favourite ‘on holiday’ food?

feeling – more at peace with Kenny’s death, drinking – copious amounts of vanilla rooibos tea (& a pint of strongbow earlier), listening – XFM on the radio

Thank you all once again for your kind words, I am attending a little get together in Kenny’s memory on Thursday evening, so next post will be Friday I hope, and will be about the first part of my German trip!!

I had such a horrendous food experience in Germany. Your food looks good! I didn’t much like those enormous pretzels 🙁

Hahaha how was Hooters? One part of me wants to go to one in the US so I can see what the girls are like and stare at their boobies and another part of me screams that it’s against all my principles to ever eat there 😀 haha!

My fav “on holiday” food is definitely any of Tonys mums cooking because his house is such a home for me now, her cooking is so different to the traditional English stuff my family cooks. Also buffalo BBQ chicken wings. There’s a little beach restaurant on the island that makes the BEST wings ever 🙂 xxxxx
