Convenient Diet ready-made meals from DietBon, my experience

18th April 202023rd April 2020

I was planning on supplementing walking my two school runs a day with  either starting couch to 5k again… Read More

Sunday Scrapbook – Wallpapering & Toby Carvery

20th May 201810th February 2020

We’ve had a really busy week, and I’m sitting down to write with a cup of tea this after strolling round the car boot sale for three hours this morning, and before we head out for a picnic at Nymans Gardens this afternoon! We’ve redecorated the living room this week (including our first foray into… Read More

Food: Mother’s Day Brunch at Côte Brasserie

6th March 201810th February 2020

Brunch is not something I partake in regularly, as I have two small children who wake up at the crack of dawn, so I am always hungry by 8am if not earlier. However when I do get the opportunity to enjoy brunch I will always try and make it work! So for that reason this… Read More

Change4Life Food Scanner: Making better food choices

1st February 201810th February 2020

One of my biggest parenting challenges is around food; snacking on the wrong things, not getting a balanced diet, and being unwilling to try new things. Literally every dinner time is a cause of stress for me in one way or another. My meal plans are boring and uninspiring (well, to me anyway- the kids… Read More

Food: 3 ways to Enjoy Auricchio Cheese

30th August 201710th February 2020
Auricchio Cheese

I love cheese, and thankfully so does Sam, plus the kids are always happy to eat cheese despite being picky with almost any other food going! I used to be a boring cheddar-only sort of person till my mid 20’s where I learnt to love cheese of all varieties. Auricchio Cheeses from the brand Ciao… Read More

13th April 201710th February 2020
pepper smoothies

Did you know that Peppers are higher in vitamin C than oranges, kiwis, and strawberries? They’re also packed with vitamins E, B and A! But would you ever think to put them in a smoothie? No me neither.  One whole pepper can give up to 200% of your daily allowance of vitamin C, and as… Read More

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🎽 Two little runners 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🎽 Two little runners after their first race, the #Arunners junior mile along the beach ⛱️ Arlo shot round way ahead of Athena and I so I got a blurry action shot of him but not much else!

Sam did the longer 5 mile run along the sand whilst the tide was out but we walked home via the shop for congratulatory ice creams instead of waiting for him as it was well past bedtime by that point!

Ad|gifted🃏🦗🌈 We've been playing #Mantis a Ad|gifted🃏🦗🌈 We've been playing #Mantis a lot recently, it's a new game but has quickly become a firm favourite, with us and the friends we've played it with.

Each game lasts around 10 minutes so it's great to play whilst dinners cooking, but you might want to carry on during dinner as it's a little addictive and you'll end up playing a few rounds 🎉

The aim of the game is to score ten points first by collecting sets of coloured cards. Easy right!? No, because other players can sabotage you and steal your cards for themselves (but, you might have the chance to steal them back!)

It's really easy to pick up and Arlo managed to beat us all on his first time playing 🤪 another plus is that's it's very portable and you don't need too much space to play, so perfect to take to friends houses, restaurants and on holiday!

It's from the team who bought us #ExplodingKittens and you can purchase this and other games from explodingkittens.com 💥

Jumping into the weekend 🤸🤸🏼‍♀️ Det Jumping into the weekend 🤸🤸🏼‍♀️
Determined to switch off this weekend, I've been flat out at work for the past two weeks & worked a lot of last weekend too. The problem (which is also a positive) with working freelance is that you can do it anytime but it doesn't necessarily mean you should 🤪
We're spending time with friends, doing some gardening and hopefully some cross stitch on the new garden sofa I spent hours putting together yesterday!

The one time I can (almost) guarantee no squabbling, no asking for snacks and potentially even to be left alone is at the beach.
I didn't bring swimming stuff, a change of clothes or sandals but that didn't stop them going for a swim!
