Pregnancy: 35 weeks with baby number 2

28th February 201510th February 2020

My last update was at 32 weeks here, and blimey time flies! I’ve now finished work and although the next two weeks are actually annual leave rather than maternity leave it means that if everything goes to plan I have around 4 weeks until this baby appears! Appointments I had my 34 week midwife appointment… Read More

Maternity style: Frugi Nursing dress

27th February 201510th February 2020

Β   Hands down the most comfortable dress I’ve worn this pregnancy is this gorgeous dress from Frugi. Not only is it comfy now but it has discreet nursing panels so that I can continue wearing it once the bump has become a baby! I love the pattern, bright bold florals on a navy background. I… Read More

Stylish changing bags big enough for two!

12th February 201510th February 2020

When I look back at the first couple of weeks of having Athena I’m always amused at the fact that I literally just look a travel changing mat, a pack of wipes and a few spare nappies out, tucked into the bottom of her carry cot on the pram. No change of clothes (these were… Read More

Pregnancy: Week 32 with baby number two

11th February 201510th February 2020

In the last few weeks I’ve definitely started feeling pregnant at all times rather than just when I try to bend over, and apparently I look more pregnant too as a couple of people have said ‘not long to go now then?’ and other similar things… myΒ last update was atΒ  28 weeksΒ if you wanted to… Read More

My tips for travelling abroad when you’re pregnant

5th February 201510th February 2020
travelling-abroad-pregnant

Over my two pregnancies I have flown abroad three times. I went to Egypt on our honeymoon at 13 weeks pregnant, then to the Czech Republic at 22 weeks pregnant, and during this pregnancy went to Morocco at 18 weeks. Prague at 22 weeks, so many layers that the bump’s not visible! Both Egypt and… Read More

Pregnancy announcements and M&S Baby

2nd February 201510th February 2020

I think the days are long gone when people would quietly announce their pregnancies as and when they saw people. The influx of social media outlets means it is much easier to tell people all at once, and I think you’ll agree that there seems to be a bit of a competitive streak entering the… Read More

Pregnancy: Comparing Co Sleepers

29th January 201510th February 2020
co-sleeper

I wish we’d used a co-sleeper with Athena, it would have made life so much easier especially after a C-section. However I had no idea they even existed when I was pregnant the first time round! We had a moses basket (but it rocked from head to foot, and as babies have heavy heads it… Read More

Maternity Style: Patterned dress for a birthday night out

28th January 201510th February 2020

I don’t find it easy to feel good (or dare I say it, glamorous even) when I’m this pregnant. My back and hips ache, I can’t wear proper heels and I generally have naff skin too. However when I went out for my birthday meal last Friday I actually felt glamorous, thanks to Happy Mum… Read More

Well, for a few days anyway as Sam has taken the kids to Norfolk for a few days (and is coming back again at the weekend, leaving them there with his mum for a week πŸ™Œ)

I am loving the silence that comes with just being alone in the house...no thundering feet up and down the hall, no random questions an hour after bedtime, no endless requests for food, no arguments over who said/did what. Just me and the cats (and a list of DIY jobs as long as my arm, and my actual job of course!)
