1st January 201210th February 2020

I’ve got the finest hair ever (apart from a new born baby/really old lady I guess..) Its in awful condition & I have the odd stray grey hair (I KNOW, I’m too young!) Currently the ends are blondey and the top is my natural dark brown (I could say chestnut or auburn, bit I would… Read More

In which I go to a Christmas Party (outfit & face of the day)

16th December 201110th February 2020

My Works xmas do was on Monday & as I worked at 8am the next day (unlike a few other people who didn’t even make it in!) I didn’t have a huge amount to drink (alcohol doesn’t really agree with me anyway!) and was in bed by 1am! Still felt rough at getting up time… Read More

In which I go to Brick Lane

13th December 201110th February 2020

After the excitement of Saturdays blogger meet up, you’d think I’d do my normal Sunday routine, which consists of tea, the sofa and the boy if we’re both off work together. I sometimes stretch to a stroll or lunch out, but recently its been so cold that I’m hibernating.  Sunday just gone I met the… Read More

In which I review ELF bits and bobs

19th November 201110th February 2020

I’ve ordered from elf a couple of times before, and am really impressed with their products, especially for the low prices! The packaging of the actual products can sometimes be a little cheap, but then what do you expect, for such a little price. Each item comes in its own display packaging too, which you… Read More

In which I get a Feel Unique box & an update

5th November 201110th February 2020

For a couple of months I’ve been seeing posts cropping up all over the place about subscription beauty boxes… glossybox/boudoire privee etc and in all honesty felt that I didn’t want to waste £10+ a month on a load of samples of things that I would probably not ever repurchase. Then when looking on the… Read More

In which I show you my everyday face

22nd October 201110th February 2020

I love the “how much is your face worth” posts, but I’ve not seen one from anyone in a while, so here is my normal face, for work or a non dressy night out (pub as opposed to out to dinner or someones birthday I guess…) Benefit  Erase Paste £19.50 Benefit Porefessional primer £23 Mac Paint pot… Read More

We would've done another walk today (Sam had a day off today too) but our boiler is kaput and we didn't want to come home to a cold house so we stayed in and shivered on the sofa instead!
Also before you come at me for getting in the car to drive to exercise: we live in a flat with no garden on a busy road- we could walk to the beach but I can guarantee we would have seen LOTS of people on pavements on the way and then hundreds (literally - the prom is so busy!) at the beach. Much as I love 'jumper season' I'm over this frost Much as I love 'jumper season' I'm over this frost. Our boiler sounds like it's struggling as it whines more than Arlo does when he hasn't eaten in an hour. Much like the rest of you I imagine, I'm feeling a bit numb and fed up right now. I also can't shake this cold/cough (been tested, not covid) and it's been lingering for 3+ weeks now. I fall asleep at the drop of a hat too, like a little old lady and find it hard to get up in the mornings. I just want spring time, normality energy and clear nasal passages IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?

I've been outside more today than I have for the f I've been outside more today than I have for the for past week. We've basically been hibernating since Christmas eve apart from the odd trip to the shop up the road. Today I walked round Devils Dyke with a friend early in the morning and then went to the beach in the afternoon for the kids to let off some steam. The sun setting was gorgeous and it made me realise I'd missed the sea as I'd not been in ages! Anyway, one more day at home tomorrow (inset day for us!) And hopefully back to school Tuesday but we'll see. For us its the right decision as my children thrive on routine, and I thrive on being able to work without distraction or having to try and teach them!

Happy New Year!

What day is it? What's the date? Pass the tin of c What day is it? What's the date? Pass the tin of celebrations please? When did Arlo get so good at putting Lego sets together on his own? Is this the first year I didn't get a book for Christmas? Should we actually leave the house at some point? Can I be bothered to stay up and ring in the new year? When will we be able to see our friends? How long will tier 4 last? Will there be a 5? How many cups of tea have I had today? When will the cat stop attacking our ankles? Is it okay to take the tree down today? But can I leave the lights up round the picture rail forever?

Answers on a postcard please. Hope you're all okay.
