Winter Wonderland

13th December 20138th December 2016

Last Sunday I spent the day in London with a handful of bloggers, is there a proper word for a gathering of bloggers?  Anyway, I met Katie (hook, line and sink her) at Victoria and we then met Ria (wishing-for-chanel) Erin (e-elise etc & Michelle (daisybutter) at Hyde park and strolled on into Winter Wonderland.… Read More

A visit to Parham House

30th September 20138th December 2016

In the first week of September we took a trip to Parham House in Sussex as Sam’s dad had come down to visit us and see Athena again, it was such a glorious day that we wanted to go somewhere and enjoy the sun!  Parham House is run independently so it cost us less to… Read More

Dining in the Sky

23rd August 20138th December 2016

Yup, as weird as it sounds. Dangling from that crane there is a dinner table, and on Thursday that’s where I had lunch! The experience is being brought to Brighton by British Airways, and offers access to a ‘pop up’ Beach Lounge plus a very special experience to dine in the sky at 100ft.… Read More

Holiday Memories of South Africa

19th August 20138th December 2016

You’ve probably seen a few people recently blogging about their holiday memories for the Holiday Postcards competition, and I had a think about the best holiday I’d ever taken, so without further ado… In January 2010 I spent three weeks travelling around South Africa. It was the most amazing holiday, and one day I want… Read More

Tintagel Castle & an outfit

5th May 20138th December 2016

This is what happens when I ask Sam to take pictures… bump shots. Top H&M (not maternity, just bigger sized) and Skirt H&M Maternity. Shoes Peacocks. Also check out the trout pout on the right picture, it’s the only reason I left it in! This is what I wore when we ventured to the… Read More

18th March 20138th December 2016

Back in February I took my husband to Banham Zoo, (in Norfolk) in the cold and sleety weather as a birthday treat! It’s a bit of a tradition for us, last year we went to Frankfurt Zoo in the cold and sleety weather on my birthday. We’ll take the sprog to the Zoo for its… Read More

So back in the August Sam and I spent the day at Muncaster Castle in the Lake District. Its about a 20 minute drive from where my dad lives and I wish I had visited sooner, perfect gardens, birds of prey, a gorgeous (still lived in castle) and so much more… there was a magician… Read More

Bristol in Pictures

4th August 201212th March 2019

A bit of a filler post, I admit. These are a select few of my pictures from Bristol, where I spent a couple of days a good few weeks back! I’ve been too tired after work this week to even think about getting the pictures off… Read More

Bath in pictures

19th July 201212th March 2019

[taken with an olympus e520 or a sony point and shoot thingy] Bath was pretty, and a bit damp. I got back over two weeks ago, and am only just getting round to posting these. I haven’t yet unpacked my suitcase either. Sophie has since been and come back from bath… Read More

Instagram post 2196774505569136899_13537162 Arlo is exhausted, this first term has completely knackered him out. He's tearful in the evenings, angry when he wakes up and little things becoming big things in an instant. Roll on the holidays! On the plus side he's had a few naps recently and I've been loving the cuddles 🥰
also... once I've voted tomorrow after the school run I'll be avoiding the media and occupying myself with wrapping and finishing off my tax return 😌 Don't get me wrong I care a lot about the outcome but once I've voted its out of my hands 🤷‍♀️

Instagram post 2195322082879169973_13537162 This photo does not represent today, Sam took it yesterday on a bike ride with the kids. Today was not peaceful, serene or calm like the photo... it *was* bright but I was driving into the sun squinting as I forgot my sunglasses 🤣 The stress was all mother related instead of child though which makes a change. Roll on Christmas! .

Instagram post 2193865288138950809_13537162 My word these two completely finished me off today. Bickering, a sequin explosion, more bickering, a glue stick related incident, lots of rolling around on floors and pavements, a pushing over fight and a long conversation about why we need to listen.
I'm probably fairly laid back when it comes to parenting, and they get away with loads compared to their friends but today they were really pushing my buttons bedtime couldn't have come round fast enough! I don't even have any chocolat to scoff as a pick me up!
Praying for a kinder Sunday, all round. I don't like being a shouty mum 😭
Instagram post 2193139960303066301_13537162 Last Thursday I spent a kid free day in London with my friend Nick then felt bad as the kids would've loved all the Christmas lights (apart from Oxford street as nobody could like them as they're dull as dishwater this year)
I'm settling onto the sofa tonight having put our own tree up after school today, I have a cuppa, two things with holes in to mend and a cheesy netflix festive film (basically seen them all now🤪) What are your weekend plans?
