An Hour is all it takes…

This past week we’ve spent very little time together as a family, Sam is working ridiculously long hours opening up a new hotel so is rarely home. Poor Athena has stopped asking for Daddy in the mornings, although Arlo and I get the bed to ourselves a lot which makes a change! He had the weekend just gone off work though…

A Rambling we will go… Slindon Bottom!

Last Sunday I signed up to ramblers.org.uk and looked up a nice circular walk we could do as a family, and chose Slindon in West Sussex. We visited last year too but Athena was obviously not able to walk as far as she was only one and a bit, and there is an awesome pumpkin display each year too! We’ve decided…

In September I…

Well another month gone and with it the last days of Summer I reckon! I’m fairly happy about that though as I’m a big Autumn lover… bring on the cardigans! I didn’t do a monthly recap last month and maybe not even the month before, and i’ve also been a bit crap at doing my ‘Stuff on a Sunday’ posts…

Two under two, it’s not that hard…

… apart from when it is really sodding difficult! The first month with two under two went something like this… Week One: Glorious. Those new baby hazy days… snuggles, feeding, having a toddler who is excited by the new baby and a husband who is on paternity leave and who prepares two cooked meals a day for us. No baby-blues…

Athena at 19 months

Whoops, time ran away from me it seems, as this was meant to be an 18 month update but is now a 19 months one. The last update I wrote was at 13 months back in July, as I see monthly updates as a bit repetitive and probably not interesting in the slightest for the vast majority of people! That…

Athena’s first walk to the park

Last Friday I threw caution to the wind and decided to walk to park with Athena, instead of pushing her in the buggy or popping her in the mei-tai carrier. I’m not sure why I decided it was the right time, but we had an afternoon to kill so I went for it! The park is about a 5 minute…

Winter Warmers

I think it’s safe to say winter has arrived in all its red nosed, foot stamping glory! I’m happy about it because it means bigger jumpers, scarves and a nice thick parka when I’m outside. Candles, fairy lights, blankets and mugs of hot drink are all in abundance at home, and Athena might even be wearing a festive Jumper…
