I bought a tub of BIG Sea salt shampoo at the Lush blogger lock in that I went to in November (you can read about that here, it was a lot of fun!) after lots of umming and ahhing and ‘but how does it WORK?’s from me. I tell you, sticking your fingers into this… Read More

Lush

6th December 201316th June 2014

Last week I spent a bloody lovely evening at Brighton’s Lush Store on East Street. Lyndsay had sorted out a Bloggers ‘Lock In’ so that we could browse in peace and learn a lot more about the products and ethos behind the company. We got to make our own ‘The Comforter’ bubble bar which has… Read More

Review: Aveda facial at Shine

21st November 20138th December 2016

I’ve only ever had one facial before so when I was asked if I’d like to review the new Dual Exfoliation Power Peel Treatment from Aveda at Shine I jumped at the chance, the salon is in the heart of the North Laines tucked away in a really great location a 5 minute walk from… Read More

Christmas gift ideas: Seascape

12th November 2013

The latest addition to my bathroom is the Seascape Refresh hand soap and hand lotion set, which they very kindly sent me as an early Christmas Present! You would be surprised at how many times a day you wash your hands when there is a baby around… so the hand lotion especially is a brilliant… Read More

Sleek Vintage Romance palette

22nd October 2013

I bought this last week with my Superdrug points, as I don’t actually need any more palettes (I have all the Sleek Palettes apart from the neon one, and i’m sure it’s only 80’s themed hen parties that buy that one…) but I figured spending points isn’t real money! Guess which one was taken… Read More

Anti Slummy Mummy: Pedicure

1st October 201313th February 2019

As part of my ‘anti slummy mummy’ project I decided to treat my feet. Seeing as I now hardly drive anywhere (and walk what must be miles each week with the baby) my poor feet needed some TLC, especially since they’re about to be ensconced in tights and boots for the winter!  Anyway I… Read More

Instagram post 2196774505569136899_13537162 Arlo is exhausted, this first term has completely knackered him out. He's tearful in the evenings, angry when he wakes up and little things becoming big things in an instant. Roll on the holidays! On the plus side he's had a few naps recently and I've been loving the cuddles 🥰
also... once I've voted tomorrow after the school run I'll be avoiding the media and occupying myself with wrapping and finishing off my tax return 😌 Don't get me wrong I care a lot about the outcome but once I've voted its out of my hands 🤷‍♀️

Instagram post 2195322082879169973_13537162 This photo does not represent today, Sam took it yesterday on a bike ride with the kids. Today was not peaceful, serene or calm like the photo... it *was* bright but I was driving into the sun squinting as I forgot my sunglasses 🤣 The stress was all mother related instead of child though which makes a change. Roll on Christmas! .

Instagram post 2193865288138950809_13537162 My word these two completely finished me off today. Bickering, a sequin explosion, more bickering, a glue stick related incident, lots of rolling around on floors and pavements, a pushing over fight and a long conversation about why we need to listen.
I'm probably fairly laid back when it comes to parenting, and they get away with loads compared to their friends but today they were really pushing my buttons bedtime couldn't have come round fast enough! I don't even have any chocolat to scoff as a pick me up!
Praying for a kinder Sunday, all round. I don't like being a shouty mum 😭
Instagram post 2193139960303066301_13537162 Last Thursday I spent a kid free day in London with my friend Nick then felt bad as the kids would've loved all the Christmas lights (apart from Oxford street as nobody could like them as they're dull as dishwater this year)
I'm settling onto the sofa tonight having put our own tree up after school today, I have a cuppa, two things with holes in to mend and a cheesy netflix festive film (basically seen them all now🤪) What are your weekend plans?
