Lush

6th December 201310th February 2020

Last week I spent a bloody lovely evening at Brighton’s Lush Store on East Street. Lyndsay had sorted out a Bloggers ‘Lock In’ so that we could browse in peace and learn a lot more about the products and ethos behind the company. We got to make our own ‘The Comforter’ bubble bar which has… Read More

21st November 201310th February 2020

I’ve only ever had one facial before so when I was asked if I’d like to review the new Dual Exfoliation Power Peel Treatment from Aveda at Shine I jumped at the chance, the salon is in the heart of the North Laines tucked away in a really great location a 5 minute walk from… Read More

Sleek Vintage Romance palette

22nd October 201310th February 2020

I bought this last week with my Superdrug points, as I don’t actually need any more palettes (I have all the Sleek Palettes apart from the neon one, and i’m sure it’s only 80’s themed hen parties that buy that one…) but I figured spending points isn’t real money! Guess which one was taken… Read More

We would've done another walk today (Sam had a day off today too) but our boiler is kaput and we didn't want to come home to a cold house so we stayed in and shivered on the sofa instead!

Much as I love 'jumper season' I'm over this frost Much as I love 'jumper season' I'm over this frost. Our boiler sounds like it's struggling as it whines more than Arlo does when he hasn't eaten in an hour. Much like the rest of you I imagine, I'm feeling a bit numb and fed up right now. I also can't shake this cold/cough (been tested, not covid) and it's been lingering for 3+ weeks now. I fall asleep at the drop of a hat too, like a little old lady and find it hard to get up in the mornings. I just want spring time, normality energy and clear nasal passages IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?

I've been outside more today than I have for the f I've been outside more today than I have for the for past week. We've basically been hibernating since Christmas eve apart from the odd trip to the shop up the road. Today I walked round Devils Dyke with a friend early in the morning and then went to the beach in the afternoon for the kids to let off some steam. The sun setting was gorgeous and it made me realise I'd missed the sea as I'd not been in ages! Anyway, one more day at home tomorrow (inset day for us!) And hopefully back to school Tuesday but we'll see. For us its the right decision as my children thrive on routine, and I thrive on being able to work without distraction or having to try and teach them!

Happy New Year!

What day is it? What's the date? Pass the tin of c What day is it? What's the date? Pass the tin of celebrations please? When did Arlo get so good at putting Lego sets together on his own? Is this the first year I didn't get a book for Christmas? Should we actually leave the house at some point? Can I be bothered to stay up and ring in the new year? When will we be able to see our friends? How long will tier 4 last? Will there be a 5? How many cups of tea have I had today? When will the cat stop attacking our ankles? Is it okay to take the tree down today? But can I leave the lights up round the picture rail forever?

Answers on a postcard please. Hope you're all okay.
