Me & Mine – January 2017

30th January 201712th December 2017

January started off dragging its heels a little, then quickly picked up pace and hurtled towards February at quite a lick. I think it is because we didn’t really get back into a routine till the second week once the kids were back into preschool and the child minders. After that we quickly settled back… Read More

Me & Mine – December 2016

31st December 201630th December 2016

These photos were taken on Christmas Eve, after the excitement of watching the Cbeebies panto (since watched about a trillion times!) and just before we put the milk and carrots out (parent-points to Sam because I wasn’t going to bother!) and the preceded a really lovely Christmas! It was probably similar to many other… Read More

Me & Mine – November 2016

30th November 20164th March 2019

Our photos this month aren’t anything special to look at, but they are special to us as this photo was taken on our fourth wedding anniversary. Sam had cooked a huge lasagne and we had a nice family dinner, which may seem boring to some but we probably only manage to eat dinner together as… Read More

Me & Mine – October 2016

31st October 20164th March 2019

October is one of my favourite moths, still not cold enough for proper coats but the air often has that wintry smell. not to mention it’s acceptable to start downing hot chocolates like they’re going out of fashion! Here’s what October was like for us:

Me & Mine – September 2016

30th September 20164th March 2019

This month has been really good for our family, we had a whole week away all together, sleeping in the same hotel room and spending all our time together. It was a really nice holiday (you can have a look at our vlog here) and both Sam and I saw a noticeable difference in the… Read More

Me & Mine – August 2016

31st August 20164th March 2019

Apparently I forgot all about an August Me & Mine post! I was writing up my yearly review in December and realised there wasn’t one! So this is a picture of me looking grumpy, though I don’t think I was at the time! We were on holiday with friends in the New Forest, but this… Read More

Stuff on a Sunday 59 – Pizza and Me & Mine

28th August 20164th March 2019

The last time I did a Stuff on a Sunday post was about a month ago I reckon, and for some reason I’ve not had the time to write weekly updates. Well, I know the reason; lack of sleep and addiction to Stranger Things on Netflix. Anyway I thought I’d do a monthly round up post… Read More

Me & Mine – July 2016

31st July 201615th December 2017

July was pretty much as crap as June was for us, I’d sum it up as mediocre with illness and a few lovely days. We had a brilliant day out as a family to Drusillas, and then later that week the kids and I headed up to Guildford to meet Donna and had a blast,… Read More

Me & Mine – June 2016

30th June 20164th March 2019

Basically June can be summed up with two words: Chicken Pox. Athena took it like a champ, loved staying inside being able to watch more TV than normal and having epic naps that were often around four hours! Arlo on the other hand caught it right at the end of the period that it was going… Read More

Me and Mine – May 2016

31st May 20164th March 2019

May has been a bit of a disjointed month for us for some reason although I can’t put my finger on why, it feels like it has flown by too! We had a really nice weekend Glamping and then a trip to London the weekend before last but both Bank Holiday weekends were nothing… Read More

Instagram post 2196774505569136899_13537162 Arlo is exhausted, this first term has completely knackered him out. He's tearful in the evenings, angry when he wakes up and little things becoming big things in an instant. Roll on the holidays! On the plus side he's had a few naps recently and I've been loving the cuddles 🥰
also... once I've voted tomorrow after the school run I'll be avoiding the media and occupying myself with wrapping and finishing off my tax return 😌 Don't get me wrong I care a lot about the outcome but once I've voted its out of my hands 🤷‍♀️

Instagram post 2195322082879169973_13537162 This photo does not represent today, Sam took it yesterday on a bike ride with the kids. Today was not peaceful, serene or calm like the photo... it *was* bright but I was driving into the sun squinting as I forgot my sunglasses 🤣 The stress was all mother related instead of child though which makes a change. Roll on Christmas! .

Instagram post 2193865288138950809_13537162 My word these two completely finished me off today. Bickering, a sequin explosion, more bickering, a glue stick related incident, lots of rolling around on floors and pavements, a pushing over fight and a long conversation about why we need to listen.
I'm probably fairly laid back when it comes to parenting, and they get away with loads compared to their friends but today they were really pushing my buttons bedtime couldn't have come round fast enough! I don't even have any chocolat to scoff as a pick me up!
Praying for a kinder Sunday, all round. I don't like being a shouty mum 😭
Instagram post 2193139960303066301_13537162 Last Thursday I spent a kid free day in London with my friend Nick then felt bad as the kids would've loved all the Christmas lights (apart from Oxford street as nobody could like them as they're dull as dishwater this year)
I'm settling onto the sofa tonight having put our own tree up after school today, I have a cuppa, two things with holes in to mend and a cheesy netflix festive film (basically seen them all now🤪) What are your weekend plans?
