Me and Mine in October 18

31st October 20181st November 2018

Oh blimey, yet another speedy month behind us as we hurtle ever onwards to Christmas and a new year! We took these photos the weekend before last in the middle of a country walk around Slindon, where we headed for our annual pilgrimage to see the Pumpkin display. They’re a bit nutso looking as we… Read More

Me and Mine in September ’18

30th September 201810th February 2020

Okay, I know it’s not September anymore, in fact it hasn’t been for a week now but I’ve been busy and a ‘Me and Mine’ post slipped my mind, and in fact slipped my mind throughout the month as we were so busy- this phone snap is the only complete family photo we managed to… Read More

Me and Mine in August 2018

1st September 201810th February 2020

Despite spending the vast majority of the month together we’ve not managed to take a sensible family photo this month on any of our many days out and weekends away, ce la vie! So I give you two selfies, one from our day out at Chessington and one at The Big Feastival, and also a photo… Read More

Me and Mine in July 18

31st July 201830th July 2018
Me-and-Mine-July18

July has been a lovely month for us, but so busy too. The end of the school term, my pre-holiday panics about anything and everything (packing for this holiday, the fact that we’re away on the next one the day after we get back, how am I going to get work done with kids at… Read More

Me and Mine in June 18

30th June 201810th February 2020

Just the one photo to share for this month as although I thought the month was shooting by I didn’t actually get my bum in gear to take a photo until a couple of days ago! We spent one afternoon after school last week at the park and had a picnic tea with friends, and… Read More

Me and Mine – May 18

31st May 201810th February 2020
Me and Mine May 18

May was a weird month, both Sam and I were away for bits of it, me once and he twice, and because it’s been so disjointed I feel like I can’t really remember much of what happened! These photos were taken by my friend Amy, as my camera has been sent off for repair because… Read More

Me and Mine in April 18

30th April 201810th February 2020

Oh April, you lived up to your name that’s for sure! Showers and torrential rain were pretty much weekly occurrences! We had a pretty nice April though, all things considered though it would have been way better had we all not got sick, poor Arlo for two weeks!) We spent the first week of April in… Read More

Me and Mine in March 2018

30th March 201810th February 2020
Me-and-mine-march-2018

Trust me when I say this is the very best of a very bad bunch! It was taken on Mother’s Day, so right at the start of the month. We’d been staying at Caalm Camp in Dorset for the weekend and took a trip to Wardour Castle on the way home. Arlo spent the whole time… Read More

Me and Mine in February

28th February 201828th February 2018

I am irritated at myself for not getting us out int he snow for a family photo this month, as all of last year we managed to get nice outdoor photos for our monthly photo project, but alas February and it’s 28 days got the better of me, as did another bout of tonsillitis (which… Read More

Me and Mine [January 18]

31st January 201831st January 2018
MeandminJanaury

And so we start another year of family photos, which means I should really pull my finger out and get last years printed off! We took all our photos outside last year and plan to do the same this year, even if we manage it by the skin of our teeth! These photos were taken… Read More

Much as I love 'jumper season' I'm over this frost Much as I love 'jumper season' I'm over this frost. Our boiler sounds like it's struggling as it whines more than Arlo does when he hasn't eaten in an hour. Much like the rest of you I imagine, I'm feeling a bit numb and fed up right now. I also can't shake this cold/cough (been tested, not covid) and it's been lingering for 3+ weeks now. I fall asleep at the drop of a hat too, like a little old lady and find it hard to get up in the mornings. I just want spring time, normality energy and clear nasal passages IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?

I've been outside more today than I have for the f I've been outside more today than I have for the for past week. We've basically been hibernating since Christmas eve apart from the odd trip to the shop up the road. Today I walked round Devils Dyke with a friend early in the morning and then went to the beach in the afternoon for the kids to let off some steam. The sun setting was gorgeous and it made me realise I'd missed the sea as I'd not been in ages! Anyway, one more day at home tomorrow (inset day for us!) And hopefully back to school Tuesday but we'll see. For us its the right decision as my children thrive on routine, and I thrive on being able to work without distraction or having to try and teach them!

Happy New Year!

What day is it? What's the date? Pass the tin of c What day is it? What's the date? Pass the tin of celebrations please? When did Arlo get so good at putting Lego sets together on his own? Is this the first year I didn't get a book for Christmas? Should we actually leave the house at some point? Can I be bothered to stay up and ring in the new year? When will we be able to see our friends? How long will tier 4 last? Will there be a 5? How many cups of tea have I had today? When will the cat stop attacking our ankles? Is it okay to take the tree down today? But can I leave the lights up round the picture rail forever?

Answers on a postcard please. Hope you're all okay.
Walking in a winter-muddy-land. So this is Christm Walking in a winter-muddy-land. So this is Christmas. Tier 4 beckons on boxing day for us and so many others, which has rather scuppered our plans to meet up with friends for outside strolls in that bit between Christmas and New Year. So we're doing it today instead whilst its still allowed. Amazingly Sam has five days off work now, although he may well do some overtime at some point seeing as he's at home anyway 😒
I hope everyone has the best day they can despite it being the weirdest Christmas at the end of the strangest year. HO HO HO and all that! 🎄🤶🎅🎁
